These Terms & Conditions govern your registration for and participation in the Strickland Family Reunion (“the reunion”), organised by the Strickland Family Reunion organising committee (“we”, “us”, “our”). By registering, adding family members, or paying any fee through this website, you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and the family members you register.
To take part you must create an account and add your family members with accurate details, including each person’s full name and date of birth. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for making sure the information you provide is correct and kept up to date, as ages and details affect fees, catering and accommodation.
Reunion fees include membership, accommodation, catering and uniform, as set out on the website. Membership is required for every attendee. Fees may be paid securely online or by another method we make available, such as bank transfer. A place, booking or order is only confirmed once full payment for it has been received.
Membership and each accommodation option have limited capacity. Spaces are allocated on the basis of confirmed (paid) bookings, not selections, so availability can change at any time until payment is made. We cannot guarantee a particular accommodation type or that registrations will remain open up to the deadline if capacity is reached sooner.
All 4 fees — including membership/registration, accommodation, catering and uniform — are non-refundable. Please review your choices carefully before paying. In particular, uniform orders cannot be refunded or exchanged for change of mind or for an incorrect size or colour selection, so please choose carefully.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law and the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. Where those laws give you a right to a remedy, that right continues to apply.
We may need to change details of the reunion — such as the programme, activities, timings or arrangements — and will let registered families know of significant changes. If the reunion as a whole is cancelled or postponed by us, we will communicate with families about the options available at that time.
All attendees are expected to behave respectfully and to follow the venue’s rules and our health, safety and security guidance. We may ask anyone whose behaviour is unsafe, unlawful or disruptive to leave the event. Attendance is at your own risk to the extent permitted by law.
Parents and guardians are responsible for the children and family members they register and for supervising them throughout the reunion.
Accommodation is provided at the venue (Belgrave Convention Centre) and your stay is also subject to the venue’s own rules and conditions. Please treat the facilities, grounds and amenities with care.
Photos and video may be taken during the reunion for family records and to share with the wider family. If you would prefer that you or your family do not appear in shared images, please let the organising committee know.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss, damage, injury or expense arising from your attendance at the reunion, except where caused by our negligence or where liability cannot be excluded by law.
Information you provide is handled in line with our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect and how we store and use it.
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page, and the date above shows when it was last revised.
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and you submit to the courts of that jurisdiction, without affecting any rights you have under the laws of your home country.
