F.A.Q.
Common Questions to Support Family.
It’s a gathering of the Strickland family to reconnect generations and celebrate our Cook Islands heritage — a few days of shared meals, culture, laughter and making new memories together. The next reunion is Melbourne 2027.
The reunion takes place at the Belgrave Convention Centre, 3 Convention Ave, Belgrave Heights VIC 3160 — about 45 km east of Melbourne, set among the tall eucalyptus of Belgrave Heights. You can see photos, a map and directions on the Venue page.
Opening Date: 16th Jan 2027
Closing Date: 20th Jan 2027
Registrations are due by 30 November 2026. Because spaces are limited, we encourage families to register and pay as early as possible.
Create an account (or sign in), then use Add Family Members to list everyone attending with their name and date of birth, along with your accommodation and meal choices. You can come back any time to update your family or pay outstanding fees from My Family Orders.
Add everyone in your family who is attending, including children and infants. Each person’s age (worked out from their date of birth) determines their membership and accommodation pricing, and your meal choices are recorded per person.
Yes. My Family Orders shows a table of every family member alongside their membership, uniform, catering and accommodation, with a paid or not-paid status for each and a button to pay anything still outstanding.
Yes — every attendee is registered as a member. Membership is free for children under 12, $20 for ages 12 to 16, and $50 for 16 to 59, over 60 is free. Please add all family members so catering and numbers are accurate.
Yes. Overall reunion membership is capped, and each accommodation type has its own limit. A place is only secured once payment is confirmed, so availability can change — the Capacity page shows live spaces remaining for membership and each venue option.
There are four on-site options to suit different needs and budgets: the Hope Centre (motel-style rooms), the Cabins (cosy and family-friendly), the Convention Lodge (ideal for groups and shared stays), and Powered Sites for caravans and campers. There’s also a camping area for tents. Shared bathroom facilities are available across the cabins, lodge and powered/camping areas.
The Hope Centre, Cabins and Convention Lodge are priced per person, per night, based on age — adults and children (4–12) pay set nightly rates, and infants under 4 stay free. Bed linen is an optional extra at the Hope Centre and Cabins. Powered Sites are charged at a flat nightly rate per site (one site covers up to six people). See the Accommodation page for the full rate table.
Yes — there’s ample on-site parking close to the accommodation and facilities, with room for cars, vans, buses and larger vehicles, whether you’re coming for the day or staying the whole event
The opening-night meal and the closing meal are provided free for everyone. The other meals across the reunion are available to purchase per person, and you only pay for the meals you actually need.
Meals are priced by day, so the total depends on which days you select for each person. Choosing every paid meal across the event comes to around $135 per person. You can pick day by day for each family member when you register — full details are on the Catering & Food page.
The reunion uniform helps the family look united across the weekend. You can order it from the shop, choosing the size and colour for each family member. Please choose carefully, as no refunds are available on uniforms.
You can pay securely online through the website as you register, and you can pay each fee (membership, accommodation, catering, uniform) separately if you prefer. A bank-transfer option is also available — see the Bank and Payment page for details.
